Vein Sclerosing

Candidates

  • Vein sclerosing removes larger veins on the legs.

Procedure Description

  • Using magnification, a small amount of concentrated salt solution, the sclerosing agent, is injected into the visible spider veins.
  • Sedation is uncommon.

Healing Process

  • Discoloration usually fades over several weeks to 1 month.
  • Because discomfort is minimal, only mild pain medication is required.
  • The final result is realized in several weeks to one month.
  • A compression hose must be worn for 5 days following the procedure.
